Granny's Christmas Closet is a non-profit organization
dedicated to providing Christmas gifts and new clothing to seniors in need.

Where We Are and How We Grow

Starting in 1998 with just a handful of volunteers and the names of about 40 seniors who needed clothing, we've grown to over 450 volunteers and nearly a thousand supporters. And that's just in Anoka County!

Are you interested in joining us? If you live in a county with an active chapter, you can join that chapter. If you live in a county that doesn't yet have a Granny's chapter, you can start one - and we'll help you do it.

Today, we're just in Anoka County, Minnesota. Tommorow? Who knows!

We're not your typical charitable organization. We don't ask for money. Instead we look for volunteers (or Angels as we like to call them) to buy an article or two of clothing for a specific senior in our locale.

We don't spend money on office space, or receptionists, or executive directors. Rather than asking for contributions for what we need, we ask for contributions of what we need. In this way, every cent you want to give for clothing for seniors actually goes to clothing for seniors. The little we do need for administrative necessities is donated as services, materials or is specifically earmarked for that purpose by the donator.  For example, our warehouse space is donated, our telephone service is donated, even this website and hosting are donated.
